Well on my way back from Vegas being a 6-7 hr drive with just an half hour left 5 deer cross the road and hitting the last one. I saw the group of deer from a distance but as soon as i drive by they decide to cross, split sec thinking i decided to hit it dead on rather then swerving and rolling the truck, had no time to hit the brakes. Both air bags deployed and my mom was in the vehicle also. Had no cell phone reception, I started running to a building where I thought there was ppl no luck. Its such a rural road cause the route I took to get home was very little used. Someone finally came I flagged down and they drove 15min out to get into cell service to call NHP. Thank god everything was ok and always wear your seat belt. You will never know when a deer decides to commit suicide

Also I never had an accident like this. Just cause both airbags deployed still means it can be fixed and not totaled right. The sub frame needs to be replaced thats for sure but didnt post pics of it, also with 150,000mi

    x2!

So if you are driving @ highway speeds and the air bags deploy, how do you not totally loose control? I have been in a wreck where the air bags deployed, but we hit a tree at 70mph, so I was knocked unconscious and I was not driving, but I have always wondered about this. Do you remember how it all went down right after the bags popped out? Did they immediately deflate so you could see? Didnt they knock your hands off the wheel?

Glad you folks are OK, but as quoted above, now you have an excuse to mod it out, yay!

Hitch and wiring, aux back-up light, rear strobe lights, radio and underseat sub.
Air bags don't look like the ones in the movies. They inflate in less than the blink of an eye, catch you, and then deflate just as quickly.

You'll be close the the total number depending where you take it. With 150K and 2 airbags deployed, engine bay/ sub frame damage. I would take it somewhere expensive to fix because the insurance will try to give you the bare minimum if they can.
    But glad everyone is ok!

The truck took care of you and your mom, that's the most important thing. Looks like a hard hit, good luck with the insurance.
