    where/what do you guys buy ur straps? im not spending 70+ bucks on a strap..? ebay? id like to support vendors but i dont have much left to spend ...got about 3k in parts this month so my savings is gone...damn tacos...suck up all our money...lol

    I bought mine at lowes for approx $25 :notsure:

    But I only use it once a year or so.... If you are into offloading a lot then get a good strap.

    A recovery strap is the last item to cheap out on. Your safety (#1) and ability to get the vehicle out (#2) are worth the money.

    Smittybilt straps are pretty good for the price. They're about $30 for a 20 foot strap.

    Buy Chain if you want to go cheap, I have a bubba rope now, "damn amazing" but i used to have some harbor freight straps which i still have, I towed and pulled big heavy chevys out of some relatively thick mud, good enough for $20 +/-. But like others have said if you can afford it dont cheap out on it

    You may already know this but don't buy straps with the metal hooks attached on the ends. I really like my pro comp straps and I don't think I paid that much.

    i know at target we sell them for around 20. think its a 20 ft too.
    not positive on the quality though, but it says its rated for 6500.

    Our straps are Very High Quality, and Made In The USA. We have our standard Yellow, and can also have custom ones made in any length you need, in Green, Orange, or Heavy Duty Silver.

    x2^ bubba rope is cool as cheese! I've seen a couple people use it down by the lake when they get their huge ass diesels stuck. i'm deff getting one if I ever trade for a 4x4.


    Also, anyone familiar with the "jerk straps" (as they call them in the sticks where i'm from) from Advance Auto Parts or Tractor Supply Co.? They seem to be good quality.

    Our Recover Straps are Snatch Straps.

    If using a chain, you would hook up both vehicles, then the pulling vehicle would slowly drive forward to get tension on the chain and then pull.

    Our Straps are designed for "Snatching" a vehicle. Hook both vehicles up, then the pulling vehicle needs to Drive into the strap with some momentum. The strap stretches and absorbs the initially shock, then pulls the stuck vehicle.

    When using this method of recovery, it is important to have very strong material, both for safety, and usability.

    I personally like the 20' strap.
