Was at the ORV park today and had a blast! Went home to wash the truck and the front looked different. After looking at it closer I realized my front licenses plate is gone! SOB! I know for sure it came off in one of the huge puddles I was plowing into. I should have known better that thing was not on there like it should have been. Just screwing into the plastic bumper was not enough. Came that way from the dealer though so did not think much of it. Oh well. Guess I could have broke/lost something worse. Ok. Stepping off the soap box. Just needed to vent.

Which park were you at? You could go back and search for it.

7 mile ORV park or riverside ORV park. Whichever people call it. I could but I was all over the place in that area and it makes most sense that I lost it plowing through some big ol puddles so I would not be able to see it anyway.

hopefully WA isnt like CA ... if you lose a plate they make you get new ones ... and if you have a personalized you have to get diff personalized ... friend of my buddies had

2 diff ones for Humboldt State Univ ... first time they snagged both ... second time stole front one ... needless to say he said fuck it and got reg plates till moving to oregon cause the semester was almost over

Here in WA I'm sure I will have to replace them. Just curious but are your guys plates just bolted through the plastic bumper with no nuts or anything to keep them on? Essentially the plastic stripped out on me. surprise surprise.

I've been running without a front plate for 3 years now. I haven't had any problems. I've been pulled over a couple times to have it fixed but I never got around to it.

The two times I did get stopped was in the same day actually. The first cop just told me I need a front plate. My excuse was I just swapped bumpers and haven't drilled the holes for the plate yet. When I was pulled over the second time (two hours later) I told the cop that I was already pulled over for the same thing and that I was going to get it taken care of. It's been 3 years since and I haven't had any trouble. I've been pulled over 4 times since (no tickets) and no one said anything about the front plate missing.

I wouldn't really worry about it. The worst thing they'll do is tell you to get it fixed.

Portland cops go on a crusade about once a year to rid the city of the pesky "no platers"

If you live outside the cities I dont think it would be a problem.

I've been driving without a front plate on my SAAB for nearly 4 years now. Then again, a sedan's bumper is a bit less obvious than a lifted truck's bumper ;)

I've been in Portland for 3 years now and never had a front plate. Never even asked about during the 2 times I was pulled over.

I'd drive back to the place and find it. Those are worth the drive!

I'd go look for it. Make another offroad run out of it. I lost mine while bush whacking out in Barstow.

Well I tried finding it but to no avail. I'm sure when I plowed into a large puddle it popped it off so its in the drink someplace. Went to the DMV and $32.50 later I will have new plates. Now its time to find a better way to secure it than just screwing it into a stripped out plastic front bumper.

Stick on hood scoop from Autozone.
Or don't blast through puddles, you'll be replacing far more expensive things than a license plate. ;)

Nevada only require a front plate if you have a mounting bracket. Plug those front holes and you're fine.
