Not me, I haven't heard yet but I doubt I'll draw anything. I put in for some pretty sought after areas year after year...

I don't have the time now that I am in college/working. I only put in for a few this year. Not too worried about it as I don't see myself getting a ton of time to go out and hunt this year either

Drew colorado elk, still waiting on my washington and idaho results. I'm watching a 400" + bull that's a 8 x 8 about 40 minutes from my house and 3 just a shy smaller about 10 minutes from my house. So hoping for a tag!

Holy crap, maybe next time hell have to settle with the 380:p

I just want a bull that reaches the magical number "350" and I'll be happy

You should be able to reach that this year it sounds!

hopefully.... and i think i got my shooting down.... weatherby vangurad 300 short mag, with nikon monarch BDC 4.5-16x50, with a winchester 150 grain sliver tip.

so far shot that muley at 580 y. a cow elk at 650 y and another cow at 730 yards..... with my setup i feel pretty good shooting out to 800 yards

some people say thats unethical but i say when i just hiked 5 miles one way and gained a 1000+ feet in elevation i want to be able to shoot across that canyon to get my trophy

    but thats just me

Agreed, if you are capable of that shot and have no other option but to make that shot, is good to be able to know that you can.

i put in for 3 great NM units. i think i find out in a few days if i draw. straight lotto, so i am not holding my breath. oh, elk.

i only put in for archery hunts. i like to get up close and personal. nothing unethical with the long range hunters. but it isnt for me. i like the risk of getting busted. my last mulie i zapped at 400 yards with my .257 weatherby magnum. i could have been smoking a cigar, wearing a clown outfit. it didnt even see me. at 800 yard, if it saw me, i bet it wouldnt even move.

i got to 47 yards of a hidden couse deer east of tuscon. i dont even remember jogging across the canyon. we spotted him 900 yards away, and waited 2 hours for him to bed down. once he bedded, i dropped my gear and put in the stalk. i crawled up a hillside, and got to 47, when another hunter just walking by busted out my deer. i was shooting for a bush 30 yards and above the deer. my heart was pounding from the excertion and the adrenalin rush. shooting that deer at 900 would have been anticlimatic for me. here is a pic of the deer!
