I replaced my aging Dell laptop with a cheap Toshiba Satellite C655 from Bestbuy a few months ago.
Ever since the day I brought it home it just never worked right. The mouse pad was really hard to work with. I changed the sensitivity on it a few times but it just didn't seem to move the cursor right where I wanted it or didn't move at all.
I would type a search in goggle and while I'm looking over my results the page would just start changing on me. Then I would noticed that the cursor was just moving around the search bar causing this to happen.
Felt like throwing the thing out the window.
Also, when I would hit the tab key the cursor would just disappear. My email was also hacked as well.
So I downloaded spyware blaster and it found 8 objects. Don't remember what they where. I just deleted them.
Now my laptop works fine. Cursor moves where I want it to and the tab key works!
Wonder if the software that was loaded on the laptop from Bestbuy was causing all of this headache?

Almost guarantee you downloaded something you shouldn't have that put the spyware on there... And I doubt BestBuy put anything too special on there unless you paid them extra to put in your personal drivers and such

I would say that to but the laptop has been like this since the first minute I started it. My old laptop never had this issue and neither did the other 6 ;laptops I have in the house.
Now it works great. been on it for 1 hour and it works beautifully!

cursor jumps and window flipping are common on laptops with an external mouse and touch pad since people forget to disable the touch pad and brush it on accident then think their computer is messed up.

without a log of what your scan found, there's no way to say what you had

    Brand new...

Trot.... never used an external mouse. Just the touch pad which never worked right. Sometimes the cursor moved across the screen fine but most of the time it took several tries to get it to move. other times just holding your hand anywhere near it caused it to go crazy.
No other laptop in my house does this, none. Now it works great! Just the way all the other laptops work.
I tries malwarebytes and it found nothing. tried ad-aware and after scanning for 2 days it found 1 issue and after I removed it still didn't make any difference.
The spyware blaster was the only thing that worked and I wasn't even expecting the touch pad to start working right. Figured it was just a poor design.
Yes, without the log I can't tell you what it was that caused it.
Just wondering if it was possible that Bestbuy added something to it or Toshiba? Never bought a laptop from Bestbuy before or from Toshiba.
