You remove stereo and AC controls, remove stereo, unclip the left side from dash, unbolt and pull... its the whole chasis that has vents and holds the whole center dash... you cant pull just the vents.

It's really quite easy ( once ya know how). Put a flat screw driver on the side of the vent and press out while pulling the vent with a needle nose.

Where did you read on pulling the dash frame off???

    Hope this helps

No bolt on the left. The left edge is being blocked/held down by the instrument cluster surround panel. I had to pull that from around the guages before I could get the left side of the center dash panel out.

There are two plastic push clips above the guage window. Use something small to push the center of them in until they release (not far, you'll know it). After that, grab the circular edges of the guages and wiggle it and those clips should drop out. Also, pulling the guage edges helps make it easier to get something behind the panel for releasing clips (I use a putty knife).

After that, the instrument panel is all push clips which you have to kind of work out one at a time like the other panels. The three clips on the left side of the center vent panel are also hidden behind the instrument panel which you'll see once it's out of the way.
