btw, tcbob somehow fit midwest firearms division in my title, kudos to him for that. also, i was under the impression that the alliance went on drunken joy rides being based in the carolinas and all, so i do apologize. i didnt intend to offend anybody on here because the last thing i would want is to lose your respect. i just thought you'd think it was funny but i was wrong, so again i'm sorry :(

I'd have to disagree with you, you are plain stupid. Driving buzzed is driving drunk, if you feel any affects of alcohol then your drunk. The only way to not drink and drive is to not drink .

what the hell is a DD lol, and i was only going 59 in a 35, but luckily he caught me on the decleration side because i was doing 75 around a turn then i went up the hill when i passed where he was sitting. a measly $75 bucks and no points system here haha. my worst ticket was 98 in a 45 in front of a prison, i was in my first car, an escort gt, trying to get some air off of the hills in the road lol...i have since gone down that road doing 140mph on the bike and it lifted but still didnt come off the ground

oh and i have been pulled over in the taco a grand total of 9 times since i bought it in May 07. i just always get out of them cuz my dad is a cop and i just casually mention that haha, i didnt try on this one but i'm sure i coulda gotten out of it if i wanted. i was half-asleep when he stopped me so i wasnt really thinking too clearly, plus he let me off for my exhaust, no front plate and tinted cover on the rear plate.

AND my drunk driving days are over, i trust the judgement of old wise people such as yourselves

I got one speeding ticket (that stuck). I was 16 doing 55 in a 25.

As for the drinking and driving, I'm not that old. ;)

Don't worry - you haven't lost respect. We all do dumb things. :)

I know I did... I drove drunk once. I had been drinking at my friend Jill's house in Denver. We hit up a few clubs, and then all of us (5 or 6 - can't remember) went back to her place and crashed. The next day I got up with "a wicked hangover" and got into my RX-7. I drove 56 miles from Aurora to Nederland to my parent's house for lunch. About halfway down highway 36, I realized something wasn't right. I was still drunk from the night before. Two hours later (because I was driving so slow and pulled over to rest), I got to my parent's house and began my 48 hour hangover.

That one incident scared me so badly that I never drove after drinking again (even 1 beer). After losing a childhood friend to a drunk driver, it is definitely a sensitive subject.

DD= Designated Driver. And from reading your posts i think drinking and driving may be the least of your concerns. You seem to have a death wish when you hit the road...

I did something similar once. After going way overboard one night (even after throwing up drinking more) and crashing at my buddy's house, I headed home at 10 am the next morning, still with a strong buzz. Yes, I was young and dumb once.

I'm also old enough to remember when drinking and driving wasn't illegal. In the '80s in Texas it was legal to have a drink while you were driving. It was still illegal to be drunk and drive, but if someone wanted to have a single beer on the drive home from work, you could. The laws changed right about the time I got my drivers license, so you can't do that anymore.

I am only 26, and I can remember a similar "loop-hole" in Mississippi when I was young. Of course, working valet at Grand Casino Gulfport, I saw plenty of people who were drinking in their cars.
