anyone know if them chips or modules or whatever that claim to save 2 - 7 mpg actually work? see alot of them on ebay.

also has anyone use any other way to save gas? like air filters or these tornado things? just wondering if there are any quick fixes that people actually found to work

please dont reply with not having a heavy foot :p

"Tornados, Throttle body spacers, Votect whatevers, Flux capacitors" give NO gains. None. Nada.

The "chips" you see on Ebay, are nothing more than a resistor designed to keep your engine in closed loop. They do no good.

    A few bolts are different.
unfortunately that's the best way to do it with these Tacoma's. DiabloSport and Superchips, probably the only two producers of tuners that I would trust, do not make an application for Tacoma's because they are already at their prime Tune from the factory.

I have a throttle body spacer with little to no gains, only (what feels like, but probably not) a little extra grunt in throttle response off the starting line, and no noticable mpg gain.

oh ok.... just wondering...from the time your tank is full till the light is on.. how many miles do you get? i can get 17.17 gallons in when the light comes on. and i'm lucky to be at 250 miles... which is 14 mi/gal. not good for mixed city highway.
