I'm posting this for a friend of mine who is selling his Smith and Wesson Sigma 9mm pistol in OD green. He's selling it to fund his truck. It's in good shape. Comes with two 15 round magazines, original case, nylon holster and single mag pouch. This is the OD green model with a stainless slide, was only made for a limited time. Round count is less than 200.

He is asking $275 obo +$15 for shipping. It must ship to a FFL and yes I am a FFL holder. If you're local he will meet you for a FTF transfer provided you have valid ID and CCW.

That pic doesnt really help show the green. I know Sigmas get a lot of shit because of their past models, but I love mine and it shoots great. I only wish I could have got the green frame, but they are kinda rare from what I have seen. GLWS

The Sigma fits better in my hand than my Glock or XD. Trigger is a bit heavier but it's a consistent pull, almost like a double action revolver.

The sigma is considered a double action, but there are a few trick people have done to lessen the trigger pull. I really don't find the pull that bad, because the d/a trigger is the only safety it has.

Which is exactly why the trigger pull is the way it is.

Can’t do the water into wine but I have tons of letter that can proof I once walked over water with a bunch of school kids...

Long story short I worked at a wild life preserve and was the only male (only Hispanic/Mexican male) in the whole company.. Took a group a kids for a hike and when they wrote their thank you letters we were called in for a meeting and first thing that was said was “what are ya teaching these kid " the letters stated the best part of the trip was when they "got to walk on/over water with Jesus".....lol....

Jesus, sorry man.. Shipping any firearm to Kalifornia is a huge pain in the ass (CADOJ has to approve FFL prior to shipping and receiving) not to mention you would have to check with CADOJ to make sure this pistl is CA compliant. Not worth the trouble in my opinion. But if you want to go through it all, let me know what you find out.

Should just have to do a FFL to FFL transfer of the handgun - the hadngun is CA DOJ certified for sale in CA. Shouldnt be a problem but talk to your local FFL.

I want to sell a gun to another person, i.e., a private party transfer. Am I required to conduct the transaction through a licensed California firearms dealer?
Yes. Firearm sales must be conducted through a fully licensed California firearms dealer. Failure to do so is a violation of California law. The buyer (and seller, in the event that the; buyer is denied), must meet the normal firearm purchase and delivery requirements. "Antique firearms," as defined in Section 921(a)(16) of Title 18 of the United States Code, and curio or relic rifles/shotguns, defined in Section 178.11 of Title 27 of the Code of Federal Regulations that are over 50 years old, are exempt from this requirement.

Firearms dealers are required to process private party transfers upon request. Firearms dealers may charge a fee not to exceed $10 per firearm for conducting a private party transfer. Example:
    1. For a private party transfer involving one or more handguns, the total allowable fees, including the DROS, safety, and dealer transfer fees, are not to exceed $35.00 for the first handgun and $31.00 for each additional handgun involved in the same transaction.
    2. For private party transfers involving one or more long guns, or a private party transfer involving one handgun, the total allowable fees, including the DROS, safety, and dealer transfer fees, are not to exceed $35.00. The dealer may charge an additional dealer-service fee of$10.00 per each additional firearm transferred.

Cant he sell it without the mags?

IIRC its illegal to sell hi-cap mags in CA, its not illegal to OWN hi-cap mags in CA with the exception of big black dangerous rifles.

"rebuild" kits are allowed to be sold in CA.

Note that it is not prohibited to
    • own a large-capacity magazine
    • possess a large-capacity magazine
    • use a large-capacity magazine, in whatever gun*
    • repair a legally possessed large-capacity magazine
(and, necessarily, to acquire the parts to make the repair --
remember it only makes sense to buy parts kits for existing
      legally-possessed large-capacity magazines)
(* Old magazine, new-ish magazine, old gun, new gun - all irrelevant; remember also the 10-round limit on fixed magazine OLL, a different law.)

    Hey guys;

Thanks for all the feedback with regards to shipping a firearm to Kalifornia. CADOJ now requires all FFLs shipping into Kalifornia to first obtain approval from the CADOJ prior to shipping any firearms to any FFL holder in Kalifornia (except C/R dealers and Ammo Dealers). The new requirement took effect sometime in 2010. Doesn't cost either dealer anything out of pocket but does require both dealers to do some paperwork. There are quite a few dealers (including myself) that try not to do business in Kalifornia anymore unfortunately due to all of the red tape you have to jump through.. PITA if you ask me...

Well yeah, I need to be 21 to get a ccw. If I said, "if only I were 21" that wouldn't work neither because then I'd need a ccw. But anyway. Good luck with the sale OP! :)
