AFE pro dry VS Stock POS

    So, after trying to get legit answers about swapping filter and not getting exact information I decided to share my experience today with my filter swap.
    So.....I have already had the 2nd filter out and to be honest, I didnt notice much difference. A tad bit better response I guess but I would have to go back and fourth to really notice. Today when I got the call it was in, I was bored in class and decided to type up a review saying that the AFE filter didnt make a difference, because I was SURE it wouldnt.........
    Well, I lose, because holy shit does it ever run better. I am honestly blown away that you can tell the difference by just driving and feel. A few things were:
    1 - Idle RPM went from about 650-675 to about 625-650
    Not a massive difference, but % wise it is about 7-8% lower. Pretty solid
    2 - I usually get 25-30 mpg on usual driving between 50 - 75 km/h
    I didnt see a big change in that and dont expect one.
    But my highway driving is about 20-25 and not as good. But as SOON as I placed the filter in the highway RPM was significantly lower. My usually drive home hovered around 2100-2150 on the highway strip. Today it was down to about 1850-1900. Over the time spent on the highway to get you mpg stats, thats a fucking awesome difference, and I expect a good 3-4 better mpg highway stats.
    3 - Throttle response was a tad noticeable, and more so then taking the secondary filter out. Its not getting you a big jump, but no doubt in my mind you gain a good 2-3 whp or more.
    4 - It seemed to lower the sound of the motor working. Not sure if it was because the lower RPM or just something else, but it for sure was a little less noisy

    All in all its probably one of the best bang for buck upgrades, and those are my exact experiences from today.
    Im going to post up my new MPG stats once they come in and see what the difference is.
    Before was about 26 average and I would guess 22.5 highway average.

    I have always thought that, but I went back and fourth from stock to AFE twice today and its the real deal. I was impressed

    No, Im saying at the same RPM I am getting a slightly faster speed. Meaning I can run a lower RPM to hit the desired speed Im looking for

    So through the first 350kms I am an average .75mpg higher with not TOO much highway driving. This is for sure making a bit of a difference.

    IMO thats the best combo so far from researching. If I wasnt sure a bitch I would get one and cut my fender already lol :D
