After looking at the book. I got a half mile up "North Fork of the Swan River" and about 400 yards up "Georgia Pass".

Its gets really, really, muddy, once the snow starts melting. They also do maintenance on the trail before they open it to the public. The work is done by one of the local 4x4 clubs.

With the amount of snow that is still up there, I would say end of June, first weeks of July, before you will see it open.

Also check out www.Colorado4x4.org. Lots of good info and trial runs being setup.

someone on colorado4x4 said that twin cones maybe good to go

drove over kenosha last weekend and there was still some snow up top but looked like it was melting pretty good and if the trail is south facing at all, there's a good chance the snow will be minimal...

I have done Twin Cone, the last week of May, every year, for the last two years. One time it was even snowing :D. There was never any snow, on the trail, when I was up there, but this year is different.

What day were you going to run it?

We could do it on Sunday. Meet at the parking lot, at the base of the trail, at 10:00am?

Yep. You have to make a left, across the freeway, at the top of the pass. It is easy to get there, but if you want to meet closer to Denver, we can.
