Ay Matt. Can your spare tire still go underneath the truck with the trailgear frame reinforcements on?

when you box in the frame, no. the stock spare carrier bolts into the frame rails and those get enclosed when the frame is boxed. with some extra fab you could make something similar, but the cost and effort wouldn't be worth it... i think.

if you were to run only thr outside rail gussets, then yes... you can still use the stock carrier

how do those frame gussets do anything? the outside is already boxed right?

Also did you get the front frame reinforcements that trailgear offers as well?

the term "boxed" refers to the frame being fully enclosed. the majority of the tacoma frame is boxed, except for the rear end where the frame bends up and the bed sits. that portion isn't boxed, it's a "C" channel.

the outside rail gussets plate the outside of the frame giving extra support at the weak point where the frame bends upwards. they allow for extra strength with out having to relocate anything under the bed, like you have to do when you box it in.

TG didnt offer the front rail gussets when i picked up the box kit and rail plates... i do what to get those though, they look nice.

    Looks good man.

Hey, you could remove your stock spare tire now that you've got a matching fullsize one mounted in the bed.;)
