Browning Buck Mark? The Blackhawk is a Ruger revolver. At those prices, it's a toss-up. If you ever want to thread the barrel for a suppressor, you can send the Buck Mark barrel off through the mail to any machine shop, or you can buy a threaded barrel through the mail. If you want to thread the Ruger, you need to buy a seralized replacement reciever (think - whole new gun, with paperwork, from an FFL) or send it to an FFL-holding gunsmith for work.

That may or may not be a factor for you.

NOW you're talking! I attempted to purchase a co-workers P22 last month but my boss beat me to the punch. The cheapest I see a P22 is around $320 at Academy Sports. It feels great in my hand. I also own a P99.

I'd love to get the gemtech suppressor as well. That is a sweet set-up.

GSG 1911-22. For around $400 you get a .22lr pistol in a 1911 frame. The .22lr 1911 pistol that Sig just came out with is exactly the same except that it has Sig stamped on it and costs $150 more.

I have a 22/45 stainless 5.5 inch MKII-no mag safety with Volquartsen trigger parts and aftermarket safety/slide stop that I shoot in steel plate matches.

I like is that it chews up all brands of ammo-Remington Golden bullets( dirty ammo btw), Winchester 333 bulk packs, Federal bulk packs, CCI Blazer lead heads, Mini Mags( of course), even some 1960's era Eley match ammo that was all green that I tumbled for a bit.

It is very very accurate-hitting clay pidgins with irons at 75 yards, golf balls at 15yds-gallon paint cans hung on a tree at 100yds, old scuba tanks at 120-ritz crackers on strings, 12g hulls lined up on a 2x4 at 20 feet fall like a plate rack, etc. all doable if you have your fundamentals down.

reassembly is a pain at times.

Best part is I got it used with 5 mags from a buddy for $360.00:D

I don't know what you are liking for exactly buy if I had the coin I would get a black widow mini revolver. Especely with the folding grip and pocket clip! Not the best range but fun and small.

The Buckmark is easier to change the barrel out on and there are alot of nice grips for it.

I was thinking of getting one. I've heard that parts are interchangeable with the .45's. I'm also curious about the feed reliability for training aspects and what not.

i don't think i would use a .22 in a self defense scenario:confused: thats what my .45 is for its the one with the viridian green laser light don't mind the law man ball ammo i was on my way to the range lol i carry 230 grain hydra shok in both my glock 19 and my g30. i also have about 50 rounds a piece of those nasty little silver tip air marshall type bullets that cost 20$ for 6 rounds:eek: lol other ammo not shown. i have shot a 100 rounds to make sure it fed reliably in both guns and to train w, them that was expensive but i feel comfterable now with them. just my .02:cool: oh btw get the ruger its the best .22 pistol i have ever shot. it felt right to me i shot the hunting model nice little piece.
