Going over to Maui from Tuesday early morning through Friday for a quick get away....and to get my feet wet with the island.

If I like it, I might just stay!! This sort of scares me as it would not be far fetched for me to do!!

When I moved to FL in 96 for work, it was to be for 12 months....it turned into 14 1/2 years!

We will be staying in Lahaina.....if anyone has any suggestions or knows of some local places to eat on the cheap...bring em on!!

    Thanks in advance!

Go to the Sea House Resturant for breakfast. Beautiful view and they have a great breakfast. It might be a little bit of a drive away, but it is worth it. Kobe steakhouse is also a great place for dinner.

It's like a 3 hour deal, you get unlimited drinks, and they roast a whole pig for everyone, and then they perform traditional Hawaiian dances on the stage. It's all outdoors near the harbor, very cool. Definitely call for reservations a few days in advance though.

Marking that down for the next trip, and YES, there will be a next trip!!

Just landed a couple of hours ago...getting laundry done and caught up on playing with the Great Dane...he missed us desperately!!

Weather was a bit breezy, temps hovered at 82-85 the whole time, the resort was quite nice....It was a fast trip but one of the best I have taken in a long time! Got to spend some exceptional one-on-one quality time with my mom that was the best part.

Thanks again for all the tips!! Pics to follow.
