Ya true that, but I'm not really to worried about wearing out the tires I have now. They're pretty shitty Trail-Mark AT's that came on the truck new when I bought it. Even running them lower PSI I haven't noticed any uneven wear after 20k miles or so.

I have the 2.7 5 speed manual with the access cab and it works just fine for me. My dad has an old 93' toyota pickup (4 cyl, 5 speed manual 4x4) which is bulletproof. I hope mine runs as long as that one has.
Also I've hauled like 300 pounds of gardening fertilizer in my truck and it didn't have much trouble with hills and what not. I get about 20-21 MPGs.

I highly doubt your tires are rated to hold 80 PSI.

300 lbs is nothing. I've done 1,700 lbs once, as well as having over 1,000 lbs a few more times...hell, I had 400 lbs in it yesterday. :p These trucks can do a lot more than people think.

Depends. If you are going to tow now or in the future, then the V6 is what you want. If you won't haul anything heavy or tow, then maybe the 4 will do.

I tow a bass boat so the 4cyl wasn't an option.

load range E can hold 80PSI. My BFG A/T's can go up to 80psi. I run about 28PSI in the rear and 31PSI in the front.

Why would you put E range tires on a Tacoma? No Tacoma would ever need them.

because it's the only rating BFG makes in that size. At least that's my reason. I still get 20 mpg so I don't care.

So you got the off road package but you don't plan on going offroad:crazy:
Good luck with the new truck.

Ya, you wont really need the 4x4. I only got it to get it lol, and the obvious resale value here. 2wd you almost have to pay someone to take it
Great to hear your happy! Oh, and even going offroad/dirt, I dont even use the 4x4 unless I feel like it

^that speaks for itself, but why spend the extra $$ for something that you aren't going to use??

Maybe he likes the options, got a deal,it was the color he liked,etc..What's your problem? If you wanna nit-pick why the Hell would they make an offroad package in 2wd to begin with?
