well I just realized when I got home from work today and was looking at how gay that loaner car is.. the sticker on the rear window that says its a loaner.. it has the website for the dealer, which is www.galaxytoyota.com

but somone had removed and rearranged letters to make it say. " wow gay yota"

    hahaha

I would call corporate. I think that may get you somewhere. They don't want any more bad press at this point. I called corporate when it came down to it about the hub-caps falling off. Within 20 minutes I got a call back from the dealer that they were getting me new ones. On a separate note, I believe by NJ lemon law, after three times of them trying to fix the same problem, it's considered a lemon. The bitch of it is that because your truck is modded, I'm sure that would come up in the lawsuit and they would try and claim you abused the truck. While the burden of proof is on them, it's a PITA for you to deal with as well. Unfortunately there's not really a Toyota dealer that I've found that I'm in love with. They all seem a little messed up. Don't know if it's something you'd consider, but Rayco in Eatontown is a really good shop. Steve and his son Jason run it. Even if you had them fix it, it would probably be cheaper than hiring a lawyer to pursue the lemon law in the long run. You're making me miss my 1st generation with the manual t-case. Hoping I never run into this problem. Good luck.

lemon law is only up to 10k miles on the truck. my mazda had an issue wheni bought it new in 03, long story short on that. had almost 30k worth of warrantied repairs, and it was a 20k vehicle.

Thanks Mike. According to my service tech, they brought in toyota engineers to try and figure it out. They know its the 3rd time and i think they are as sick of seeing me as I am of bringing it in.
It seems to be a pretty rare problem so I'm sure you'll be ok

I am worried about the fact that it's modded.. It probably makes it a whole lot less fun for them to work on it, but fuck em.. only another 10k miles until they never see it again

Yea I'll be seeing Kevin's (ATO) truck next weekend.. that might be a REALLY bad idea to see all the things he's done to it. ;)

I'm pretty sure its for the duration of the warranty. I read all about the magnusum moss act today to know my rights. :D

I've got a question though.. I got my bumper and even though it had been spray painted for pictures, during shipping alot of the paint got messed up. My plan is to use liquid paint stripper to clean it to bare metal, then sand it real good, few coats of primer, then...
    Should I:
-Rustoleum (or similar) spray can bed liner? almost a similar finish to my sliders, but I'm woried that dirt will stick to it.
    -Flat Black spray paint
    -semi gloss black spray paint
    - or just shell out the extra cash to get it powdercoated just like the sliders. probably most durable, but most touch ups will probably be most noticeable

I'll also need to paint my skids in a couple weeks so I'm open for any suggestions on what to do with those too. A roller seems like the easiest way to cover the most amount of area, and then all touch up work will just be done with a spray can.

I just used two coats of semi gloss black spray paint (Rustoleum) after two coats of the metal primer rustoleum stuff. Looks good to me.

Apparently with powdercoating, if/when it gets scratched.. spray paint doesn't look really good covering it back up.

Any ideas on what would look OK to patch up powdercoating ?

bed liner spray would be the closest in terms of texture, but the color could be off a little

    John-
Hows the paint holding up so far? thats the route I'm leaning towards

That's so gay.. So now bar tenders are responsible for deciding once you've hit an intoxication of .08 and then they can't serve you anymore? Drunk driving is illegal, how can you sue a bar for letting you get drunk there?..
Stupid fucking new jersey. Between that and our gun laws, Im convinced this is the dumbest state.

My truck isn't making any noises, it just had slot of mud inside from wheeling with scott that first night with the windows open.
