Hey guys... I really hope I'm not beating a dead horse with this question but I've literally searched and searched and couldn't find a straight answer to what i was looking for...

So I'm ordering my Billys all around from DSM, and when I was measuring the ground to fender I noticed that my driver rear is sagging and its sitting at 35".... The passenger rear is at 36.5".... my whole point in getting the Billys is to level out the truck, but with the back sagging how will that work? Since I'm going billys all around, will that correct the sag or am I going to have to get an AAL? or to replace the faulty leaf(s) on the drivers side?

Thanks guys for all the help....

that is known as the taco lean, all tacomas have it i believe. i think some people use like 1/4 spacers to fix this

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
If your leaf packs are that bad the AAL will only put a bandage on it and it will start sagging again. Mine were pretty bad and I didn't get much lift with the AAL so I removed it and bought new leafs. The 5100's will not lift your truck in the back so you will need to fix the leafs before or you will be ass low.

Shocks in the rear of the truck do not give any lift. Are your leaf springs flat or have a negative arch? If they do they probably need replaced. That difference in heights passenger side to driver side is the taco lean lol.

so basically replace the rear leaf packs? any suggestions on which to get? I plan on trailing a few times a year (once a month or so) but this is mainly a daily driver....

are you looking to lift it or stay at stock height? wheelers has a few different leaf packs, for stock height and 1.5" of lift i believe. if myou want to go higher there is all pro they have a 3" leaf pack

So... I was retarded and where I measured my truck I was on a slight incline... I re-messured it on level ground and the difference was less that 1/2" between driver and passenger sides... I ordered my billies today and am looking at getting a 1.5" -2" AAL soon... I'm on my way to my first mod!

You're about to embark on a beautiful journey to a big pit. It's filled with money, and you can't resist throwing some in. You'll continue throwing money until you have no more...then you'll turn around and your truck will be super awesome, and you'll smile.

I'm really considering it, because I wasn't sure I wanted to run stock coils on new shocks... I figured if I'm gonna do the shocks why not the springs too... and it's not that much more expensive... I'll have to wait a pay check or two (moving to a new place 1st of July) to get the coils and AAL from Toyotec, but it will be worth it I think... if I'm doing it might as well do it right...

So I'm thinking since I'm doing it right, instead of doing an AAL in the rear, why not get the OME Dakars? how do they match up with the 5100s all around, and the Eibachs?

The OME Dakar pack will be a much better than just getting an AAL. That's basically my suspension setup and I like it.
