Exactly... when you have a flight physical they go through everything and that includes hearing and sight. If you have any issues from surgeries or migraines or concussions, either dont say shit or be prepared to get rejected. Im going through that shit now with my job because someone told the flight doc I had a headache.... been off status for 3 months now.

 Flashbacks to my PRP days...do they still call it that? Nuke stuff...no self-medication, etc etc, taken off status at the drop of hat. Most irritating tour of my 26 years AD. Sorry for the old guy rant! :D

look at it this way if you want to do a Spec Ops type job and have Security Forces as a fall back.. if worst comes to worst you wash out of Tac-P you could end up doing Sec Forces

yea PRP is the same thing.... sucks bad... we cant take ANYTHING without reporting it and even when they prescribe medication its normally BS

If you end up getting SecFo go K9 route... a friend does that and its an awesome job!

You do not want to be a Gunner.

All we do is fly around low level (< 100 feet), do canyon runs, cruise the local lakes looking for hot women in bikini's, land on ships, pluck people off ridges, work with A-10's, wear NVG's, do aerial refueling, rope in high speed bubba's, hoist them out (sometimes ride the hoist for fun) shoot mini-guns at high rate (4000 rounds per minute) or the mighty ma' deuce.

..plus we save lives in peace and in war. We live by a motto:

"...these things we do, that others may live"

Some of the things you really do not want to do are featured in these videos...

Stay away from this job...it sucks! Worst job in the AF.

Good luck to you guys that went to BMT and thank you to the others currently in. I am currently at Shady J(Seymour Johnson AFB) as a tactical aircraft maintainer on the F15E, sounds like the best job in the air force till you work the crazy shifts and the heat of NC can get pretty ungodly.

I pretty much troubleshoot problems, replace parts, do day to day inspections, and keep track of the forms for the jet.......
