And where do you come from? I don't think northern California gets NEAR as hot as southern Georgia...

In California's Central Valley, it is not uncommon to have week-long heat waves over 100, and we will sometimes go to 110+, but IT IS A DRY HEAT. I've gone on strenuous moutnain bikes rides in the Gold Country in 114 heat, no problem. Just hydrate. But I could not handle southern humidity.

I lived in Upland, CA for a few years so I'm familiar with CA heat. The humidity here is awful and makes it much worse. I have also survived winters living in northern Illinois and northern NJ (where I'm from). However, even though I endured sub zero weather in both places - it is NOTHING compared to the winters Canada has. My only taste of Canada was Thunder Bay in November one year. Even if I wear my big girl panties - I could not handle their winter. :O

I'm not sure what the temp was in Thunder Bay that year, but I can assure you, even if I wore big girl panties made out of wool - I WOULD NOT SURVIVE. And they would be itchy. Then again - if I walk outside of the station today again, it's entirely possible I may melt. It's only 99 today. Must be a cold front.

Yeah - and both are waaaaayyyyyy to cold for this girl. LOL It's a cold front because the heat index isn't as high today as it has been.

That's one thing I don't miss..... listening to the forecast and seeing what the temp was with the windchill factor. Brrrrrrrrrrrrr I'm also happy I missed the Chicago Blizzard this year too. :D
