I have a question about lifts. When people say they have a 2" lift, for example, do they mean the front or rear is lifted 2". Is leveling a tacoma with stock rear considered a lift? The way I see it, when someone says lifted 2", it means that it's first leveled with stock rear, then lifted 2" front and back. I am considering a lift, but I need to know what they mean so I can view pics and understand. Thanks.

My truck has a 2" lift in the rear and is up about half an inch in the front. in order to do this I had to do a 2" shackle lift in the rear and a 3" spindle lift with a 1.5" daystar spacer in the front. This was on a 2002 2WD 5 lug, the six lugs have different mounting points and the rear axle is under the leafs instead of mounted on top like mine.

Also some ppl will say i have a 3'' lift..like me. But in the back its actually 4.5'', but is simpler to just say the lowest. If someone asks for details i tell em.

If someone asks me I say I'm lifted about 3" because the front is up about 3", but the rear is actually only 2.25"ish over stock.
So probably depends on who is talking.
