I picked up my bumper today. It looks great and is stout as hell. The welds are awesome and its ashame I will cover them up with paint. This will be a long week waiting to put it on.
I am going to spray it with VHT roll bar and chasis paint.
CBI has been awesome to deal with. The communication, customer service and shipping have been first class.

I too can't wait to see the bumper painted and on your truck! Keep us updated!

Just a little FYI for those who aren't familiar with our high clearance bumper.... Notice the side support legs that go clear out to the end of the bumper for maximum side support... many other manufacturers fake this kind of protection by putting the side support near the end of the frame mounts which in turn leaves plenty of space on the sides for damaging distasters!

Thanks everyone for the compliments. I got it cleaned up last night with Duplicolor wax & grease remover. It smelled like brake cleaner so I am sure they are similar. It dried fast and cleaned it up very well.
I got it sprayed with self etching primer last night and plan to paint it tomorrow night. I am going to do a detailed write up on the install for this so be on the look out. While I was cleaning/painting it last night I really started to notice the true quality of the work. It is amazing!!
I should be able to get some more pics up after I get it painted. Install is happening on Saturday.

It is a real hitch. Looks like it should have no issues towing anything I need it to.

So I made some progress on this thing. I got it primered and painted. I still need to touch up a few spots but its pretty much ready to go on.

This is what I used to clean it in preparation for the primer.
    DSCN5758_14c3d2718f95f60f1cad539cd7411f61c8c52efc.jpg

This is the primer I used. It seemed to go on well. I used about 2 1/2 cans to put on 2 coats.

This is the paint I sprayed it with. It covered everything well and just need to touch up a few spots. I used almost 3 cans to lay on several light coats.

For now this will have to do.
