Rome hit Horton late

Rome and Horton were facing each other , when Horton passed the puck he watched his pass , at the same time Rome commited to standing him up at the blueline .

Not lateral

Not blindside

The only reason it was assessed as a major was that Horton was obviously injured

Not rule 48

No suspension coming

Please watch the examples. This is from the NHL.

 

You are obviously watching a different game than I am- Because the the video I've seen was two players hit left side to right side (That is lateral) with a shoulder to the head (That is targeting/principle contact). He was looking away which makes him defenseless (not part of the rule-but clearly a factor in the violence of the hit). And Rome had a change of direction and a full stride before the hit- He didn't commit until the top of that stride. No need for that hit....NONE.

And if the major was because he was hurt- What was the game misconduct for??

This is the 3rd lame ass argument you've made for a bullshit hit. For someone who is so smart about hockey- You are holding on to this one WAY too tight.

go to the 47 sec mark, watch where Horton is when he passes the puck, and where he is when he is hit by Rome. Rome stands him up late, I suppose you could call it a headshot, but it's not lateral or from the blindside.

He wasn't "admiring" his pass, but he was following to make sure he wouldn't be offsides. Sure Rome didn't wanna be beat to the net, but it was an unnecessary hit, and was targeting his head with the shoulder.
