Ok, so I have this new 08 DC SB and I will primarily be using it to haul me and my son's dirtbikes around but I go on a couple of big fishing trips a year too. Because of that I need a decent soft Tonneau cover and I am looking to you guys for advice on a quality one that meets these needs:

    - No snaps :)

    - Needs to be able to be taken on and off the truck easily and quickly - it must have a simple attaching system.

Honestly I will not have it on the truck much but when i need it I want to be able to install it somewhat quickly.

You guys have any advice on brand/model?

Rugged cover. trifold. clamps into bedrails....no drilling, and it comes on and off very easily

X3 on the Extang Tri Fold. I've had one for 4 years and can easily remove and install it by myself in less than 5 minutes

Is this an easy mount system? Can you give me a link?

I am mainly looking for something that comes on and off easy....I mean the whole thing off the truck. I will only have it on a couple times a year :)

Access LE tonneau. Almost the same as the lite rider - only better. Luke at Truck Alterations has the best price around :D

I bought it at my local accessories shop (they installed). I have more pictures here:
    http://www.lieblweb.com/cpg/thumbnails.php?album=16&page=1
Scroll down and flip to page 2 (right bottom corner). There are pictures of the mounting system.

But yeah, the entire thing folds up and comes off. The only thing left on the truck are four alluminum tabs that slide into the rail system. You should be able to see them in the pictures.

Sounds identical to the extang trifecta.....which I have. No doubt they are both excellent Tonneau's....:)

I have had both a Agricover Access LE on a Tundra & now use a trifold Extang Trifecta on my Tacoma. Both are awesome covers!

I went with a trifold this time for the same reason you want, to take it completely off on occassion. Fold it up, undo its four mounting points (2 are spring loaded, 2 twist), snap it together & stash it. Some folks even use the rail system as the mounting points leaving out the 4 plates shipped with the cover so it leaves no trace.

The Extang now comes in traditional vinyl and a canvas similiar to a jeep top fwiw.

Obviously there's a couple that are similar - but shop around for the best price on either brands. I have no idea how they compare between the two.

I actually have a jeep now. Imagine that.
DO NOT BUY THE LUND TONNEAU. I just installed it and it was missing parts and the part that mounts on the tail gate isn't removable to roll something like a dirtbike in. You have to actually take apart the back part of the frame to put something in.
