Those hilifts are sketchy as fuck. Floor jacks with a skid plate ftw. I'll use the hilift as a support with the floor jack but never alone.

12's are going to be pretty f-ing big in there...

i know 8's are impossible to find... i'd try to find some 10's, those would be easier to make work

Yea...I'd definitely need cage work to run those 12s and i'd need 12" coilovers. You're saying I wouldnt necessarily need an engine cage to run 10s?

no, you would need a cage for the 10's

i was saying to fit 12's in the front would prob be alot of work. although i'm not sure how much room the 2nd gens have... i'm going off knowing there isnt a ton of room on my truck

10's should fit relativly easy with a taller shock hoop than what you would use for an 8" shock

    ...too much shit to list.
I'm willing to bet if you brought the hoop all the way up till it damn near touches the fender and used a short shock tab you could make the 10's work. Maybe Hassim has got an extra 10" laying around to try to mock it up for ya? :D

    lol... my bad, i suck.

you would need some sort of custom type shock hoop to run a 10" shock... if you ran the secondary shock hoop that engage has avail for the 8" shocks you could end up with the shock fully collapsed before you hit full bump because of the larger shock body of the 10" compared to the 8"

i simple cross brace (engine cage) would prob be benificial because the hoops are going to sit pretty high up in the wheel well

but i'm not even 100% this set up would "work"... you should ask some homiez on DR or TTORA

yea thats what I was think but even if I could make it fit, i'd only be using 8" of the 10" of travel available, unless I have it crazy angled. nonetheless, 10" are way easier to find used that 8" bypasses, i may just do that.
