Spray in bed liner?

not sure if its the right thread (sorry) but does anyone know how much a spray in bed liner is? sorry i dont like the cheap plastic ones, they rust underneath and are slippery sometimes.

 

got my bed and toolbox done by line x for $550. kinda expensive but is really durable.

 

the toolbox sprayed too?

 

you can prob get it done for 400, or buy a kit and roll it on yourself

yeah thats true, the spray on liners are no good for 2nd gen tacomas

 

the one im goin to look at this weekend is a 00 180000mls 4x4 ex cab manny its listed at 5995 at a dealer, so im gonna see if they will come down, looks like it has a lift after market rims and maybe some mud tires cant tell by pics. sound like a good deal or no? its an hour away...but im willing to go if its a good one.

 

I'm not sure about 1st Gen prices- but it doesn't sound horrible. And for the bedliner- You can get it done for a 300-500 or DIY with Herculiner for like 100. All depends on what your time is worth to you...

 

not sure on my DIY skills haha, if its not too complicated and lasts then ill try but i plan on having the truck till it croaks so i want the liner to last, my dad used rhinoliner in all his work trucks he beats those things to hell and back and they still hold up.

 

If you can read and use rubber gloves, rags, and a paint roller-You are SET. It's not really that hard at all. We used it to cover a floor on a ship I worked on and it lasted good as any high priced floor coating system.

I paid about the same to have mine Rhino-coated, including over the bedrails and top of the tailgate. (As I recall, bringing it over the rails and tailgate was about $100 of that total cost.)

 

I really like the roll on Herculiner. I've got it on my rocker panels, my cap and my bed rails. I plan on doing the rest of the bed this summer.

 

I looked up the Herculiner, and wow $75 for the whole kit vs. 300-500... DIY here i come! Ive painted rooms plenty of times so it doesnt seem like it would be too different. I really appreciate you guys suggesting that ive never heard of it before, but that deff saves a lot of $ for other mods! you guys are awesome!

 

oh and not to sound like a retard....but what is the clutch start cancel button? ive drove mannys before but never seen that button? whats it do? i feel silly for asking this but ide rather ask you guys then the dealership selling the truck cuz then they might get it in their heads that there gonna try to screw me over.

 

It's not too bad. Clean out bed, sand down the clear coat of the bed, wipe down, allow to dry. Roll on the herculiner, allow to dry 1-2 hours, apply second coat, remove all tape, and then wait for it to dry and cure before use.

It's so you can start the engine without the clutch pedal fully depressed. It's very convenient for offroad situations. It also is helpful on hills if you stall out or something.
