I'm going to ask if he was looking to buy a brushguard.. Guess I'll post on craigslist and the bst section to see if I can sell the guard to someone closer hopefully

Check my sticky in the wheels and tires forum on replacing your wheel studs. The 4 runner is probably the same as the Tacoma.

I've got one for you guys. Windows 7 pro, all the sudden, almost without reason decides to delete everything on the desktop, with the exception of the standard windows icons and two shortcuts.

Everything else gone. Files, documents, shortcuts, programs...

They are no where to be found on the HD. Any ideas? I had some really important files sitting there.

I haven't gotten brave enough to try that yet. The last restore point is in April. And while I don't use windows much, when I do use it, it's for pretty critical stuff. I'm afraid of what I'm going to loose that I do still have.

I know one thing. I'm never going to leave anything important on the desktop again...

This just absolutely sucks. Doing some research, apparently I'm not the only one this has happened to. But nobody has a explanation as to why.

They all report system restore doesn't restore any of the missing files either.

The same basic process won't be too different though. And maybe the part numbers are the same? I dunno man

System restore is designed for repairing the operating system after a bad program install or corrupt update. This does not include user files.

Sure enough. Windows deleted the files on my desktop.

Using a deleted file recovery program I see every file that used to be on my desktop...

    Now to start restoring them.
