Bettman is an idiot though. I mean fuck, he even had to make a jab at Winnipeg saying "it will only work if they sell out every game" saying like a cocky dick. But he was proven wrong

 

Glendale coughed up another $25 million to cover the losses for next year so they can have another year to find a local buyer .

They basically rented the team for one more season

 

Yeah, there's also a sesaon ticket waiting list they capped off at 8,000. Minimun commitment is 3 years on all those tickets so it's a hell of a wait!

I've read that FLA is tied into a really shitty lease with their stadium which makes it difficult for them to move, and to make any money. You could argue, FLA, Columbus, Nash, NYI, NJD, stars are for sale, PHX could all be sold and moved. Some should be atleast.

 

its sad here in Tampa. I've gone to a few Lighting games over and the forum was empty, but when the playoffs come around everyone jumps on the Lighting bandwagon and goes to the games. I was pissed when I couldn't buy tickets to the games when the Bruins were in town for the playoffs

 

The Bolts have a good team too

 

saskatoon should have gotten them but the blades bought the right to be the only team in credit union centre for the next 5 years or so. also the blades suck and it costs lots to go to a game.

really? i though with the bolts have a good team with young talent people would go to the game.

no body goes to their games, unless a big name team comes in or it is a playoff game. Its the same way their baseball team too. Tampa is full of fair weather fans
