Well I don't know Senor Diaz that well or I might have done that lol. I know its supposed to tell a story, and when I see the shot, it formulates a certain image in my mind, but when I snap it, the image doesn't look the same...does this make sense?

    It totally makes sense.

I have an idea. Pick a focal length. Any between 18-55mm will do. Now lock the lens at that focal length. Find a subject and start shooting. Remember, no changing the focal length on the camera. But you can do it by moving around. Close up, far away, down low, up high--all are ways you can move around and control how your subject looks in the frame.

Try working with the sun at your back or off to the side just so you don't have to deal with it. Whatever you do, capture your subject as many different ways as you can at the same focal length.

I think you'll be surprised at your result. More importantly, it will help get you to your goal of seeing things differently.

This bottom one didn't turn out how I wanted...it was way off center so I had to rotate it down...hence losing half the pic in the process..oh well, live and learn.
