Can someone please explain to me what Satoshi and homeroshi means?

 

I had to go look at mine, ones 2L the others 1/2 Gal. I thought they were all half gallon.

 

The grille in the pic is the "homerashi" the satoshi is cutting the inside of the grill and recessing mesh, like on homertaco's truck.

 

^^^this^^^ & satoshi apparently means recess in Japanese.

They're pretty close to the same thing. 2L is 0.5 gallons and change (something around 0.55ish). ISTR them being 2.5L somewhere at some point which is about 0.66 gallons, hence my (what turned out to be) mistaken math.

 

I thought Satoshi was the name of the guy that did the initial write-up/how-to.

I'm out of plastic pinch clasps (should arrive sometime next week). It can just be a knot to clasp or I've got wooden beads. I can also do mini shackles but they're a bit pricey.

Working on a satoshi. Notice how I didn't use fiberglass? Just cut part of center section to void and heated it up to bend with contour. Then plastic welded it.

Were did you end up getting the grille from? And nice, I liked the plastic idea better then the glass. I forget who did the thread about it but he has a picture with some sick tigers (or some kind of big cat).
