    Yesterday I called toyota corporate and filed a claim.
    Today they called back and told me they spoke to the technician who inspected my truck, and he decided the damage happened because I "submerged the truck".
    I have never "submerged" my truck. I have never even had water up to the bottom of the body. I have only driven through puddles that I have seen other tacomas drive through.
    I asked the representative what my next course of action should be and he said there is nothing more that I can do, once they decide the damage is a result of being "submerged", there is nothing else I can do.

    Anyone have any advice?

    I hate to say it, but I dont even know how much I can blame on the dealer.. The outside technician who is assuming I have swamped my truck is the one I'd like to talk too. One of the service techs said the guy was making a big deal about that fact that I extended the breather on the rear diff too.
    I dont get it.. corrosion on the shift rails in the transfer case, corrosion in the front diff actuator, and the truck has never been in more than 12" of water..

    I'm going to VA for the weekend and I'll be picking up my (and anthony's) skids from Kevin, so I'll talk to him and see if he has any advice. I dont want to get myself in over my head before I know what all is going on. Right now I'm just collecting ideas and information and trying to get a game plan together.

    I dont want to end up in court with a long drawn out bullshit process and possibly end up just owing money, so before I take that kind of action I will make sure it will be worth it.

    I'll just have a sweet prerunner till I figure out what to do.. lol

    Snorkel shouldn't matter, they have to prove that any items caused the failure, and they would also have to prove that the truck was submerged to deny a warranty claim.

    But yea, looks like it is lawyer time. :eek:

    Maybe we should start a wall post on the toyota corp facebook page? That seems to get attention if it has enough comments from others on it.

    I'm at 25k miles and have had the front diff actuator and the transfer case actuator replaced and I still have this problem sometimes.
    When my warranty expires I'm going to buy the extended warranty.

    now go in there today and ask them if you can bvuy an ext warrenty......

    if you would l;ike ny to make a road trip to have a lil talk with your service manager then let me know and send the paypal payment + the 2% fee on over.....
