If no one is going to show up at desert rat, then I will make it 0800 at QT for the sake of making it to the trail early. If the Tempe guys want to meet and all drive together feel free. We'll step from QT at 0830 just in case there are some stragglers.

Just a bunch of old crap
FYI there is going to be a closure of the northbound 101 around Broadway on Friday night til 10am Saturday morning. Those coming from the first meet spot in Tempe will need to go around somehow to get to the 60. Maybe we move the Greenfield meet spot to a place right off the outer loop of the 202 and the 60 so the other folks can just come up the 202 instead.

This guy finally figured out how to multi quote :D Anyways, I'ma get back to you guys on that one. It's been 4 years since I've been out there so I need to study the trail a little bit more on paper to make the final decision. If you guys want to vote on it, just post for which you are in favor to, and I'll go with that.

There is a shopping center out by Gold Canyon right off the 60. Like a whole shopping center parking lot with a Jack in the Box. May be a good idea to have a larger parking lot with how many people are coming. I think its the first stop light after the 60 ends

edit: Its the corner of Superstition Mountain Dr and Superstition Freeway (US 60)

I've been away for a minute so I've lost my familiarity with what's what. I'm open to suggestions. There is a QT on Power and Quad? I believe. Maybe it's Elliot?

Yeah, I remember that from going out to 207. That works. Are the western bound guys willing to make that for 0830?

theres a nice cobblestone gas station right off signal bute and the 60 we can meet at too, so people can grab the 202 then get on the 60. im really down for anything. :)

I vote for the Greenfield location to be moved to the Cobblestone on Signal Butte and the 60. This will allow the Tempe meet folks to come out the 202 outer loop to connect to the 60 to avoid the closure on the 101. Here's the address:

    Cobblestone Auto Spa
    1855 South Signal Butte
    Mesa, AZ 85209

It's just on the south side of the 60 at Signal Butte, which is only about 2 miles east of the 202 outer loop on the 60.

Hey seabass.. your saying the 101 is closed or the 60? I was going to take the 60 all the way out to the QT (now cobblestone) your saying we cant do that now? I'm off Elliot and the 10. South of the 60. So should me and my group head south to the 202 and take that out east? If so.. what do all you other Tempe/west side guys want to do? Still meet somewhere or just all head out to the last spot out west?

The closure is on the southbound 101 at Broadway. It's closed Friday night through late Saturday morning. Anyone taking the 60 straight west is fine, but anyone trying to come south on the 101 to get to the 60 will have to go around somehow.

Basically, just take another way besides the 101 southbound to get to the 60.
