 She still has a long way to go. She was a rust bucket in IL when I bought her. Just got her back from having the body work and paint done. In that process, my rusted fuel line got nicked and wiring went nutso. Soooooo I'm patiently awaiting my new fuel line and wiring harness to come in so the fun can begin. :D

I did that 3 weeks ago with Mountainwolfpup...Padled about 35 miles, and only burned about 6 gallons of gas....

Nice! Looking back, I wish I wasnt so facinated with going fast. The car was beutiful, and turned heads everywhere I took it.

I'm very jealous!!!! Don't get rid of it...... Don't...... they are sooooo much fun to work on. And a whole lot more room under the hood to work than newer vehicles.

As long as I can help it, I will NEVER get rid of this car. It is my baby. I love working on her. And it's nice to now live in a state that I can driver her all year round. I tell ya what though.... that 327 is STOUT! Even in sub-zero weather I would sometimes take her for a spin - and she would start. Every time.

Here's a pic from last spring or so... It since has new wheels/tires and is in California right now getting some interior work and a new suspension. The main reason I am looking to get rid of it is A) It is always down in California with my uncle getting worked on and B) I can rarely bring myself to drive it with how piss poor our road conditions are up here...

Hell yes it is!!! I built mine with a 6800 RPM redline, and NEVER had an issue. Dynoed at 525 hp to the tires, and would break the tires loose in 3rd gear! For a while, I was running a 150 HP Fogger set up on it, and thats when I began eating the tranny's up. Despite them being "Built" to handel the power. After a while, I decided to modify the frame and make it a little lighter weight, and thats when I fucked it up :(

:(:(:( Mine was raced by the buy that owned it before it went to a dealer. She was only taken care of under the hood. When we started rippin fender flares off the back doing body work..... got to see a bunch of street signs. It was Ralley Green stock - he painted it burgundy - with nooooo primer. Spray painted the ratty vinyl roof. The fuel tank was attached by a bungee cord - scary enough - but when I put new fuel straps on I saw a BROKEN BUNGEE!!!!:eek::eek: Sooooo needless to say, I rescued her. :)

When I was about 19 one of my buddies dad was selling his '68 Camaro convertible. He wanted $500.00 for it. (it was about 10 years old then and in pretty rough shape) 327, four speed, yellow with a white top and white interior. I passed, based on the work it would have needed. Not one of my smartest days. Saw one like it go for about $60,000.00 on TV a while back.

Yeah - I had an opportunity to buy a 69 Chevelle when I graduated high school. Not in really bad shape at all. He also wanted $500. My brother talked me out of it.:mad:

I can't hate on Mopar... there's something about a classic muscle car of any kind that gets my blood pumpin'. There is a Plum Crazy '69 Charger that rolls around my hometown that is pretty BA actually...
