The fiberglass kit takes 90 mins to dry, and the bondo 30 mins of drying before it will accept primer.

I figure even with 2 coats of primer and two coats of paint, this will be a 5 hour job max. Then let it dry overnight.

    What am I missing here?

I've worked with fiberglass before though so I'm not "planning" on having any of those.

Btw Adam your response in the 3" lift thread is legendary. Too bad it's too long for a sig

Sanding time takes a while if you want it to look good. I started with 60 grit then 150, 250, and then to 400.
I would sand till my arms and fingers were sore and spray it with primer. Then I would notice spots I missed and resand.
Also hang the grill up to paint it. That is the biggest tip for painting.

    Good advice, thanks,

I was planning on wet sanding with 150 and then 600.

You're right, I'll tack on another 2 hours of expected time.

Let me see what I can do. I'm on my iPad so I'll have to go to the full site and mess around a bit.

If you want to start the grill bring it over to my place this weekend. We will be putting on my bumper and see if we can get Brians rear bumper lined up due to his body lift. There will be beer.

I understand about the distance. Good luck with it. Are you using a painted grill or do you have to get it sprayed?
