    Thanks haha, I'll probably have something bent up when I get back to Reno in 3 months but for now ghetto works, as I'm in WY for 3 months working and this was easiest. Or when I get back and have access to a shop I might get some 1/8 angle or something and chop into that upper boxed section and then re box it.

    as Ive said till Im blue in the face - snorkels are not for water crossing only. Do some research and you will find out the other factors. Ive linked just about every artical I could find in the OP of the GB's

    Provided you can make a bow wave and keep moving you can effectively ford to the roll in your doors before your door seals break (where the electronics would get wet).

    That's enough to warrant a snorkel for me.

    how fast have you guys driven with ur snorkel? i see 90mph daily on my freeway commute and the last thing i wanna see is my snorkel hood blow off and make someone crash

    I thought of that too but with the negative pressure/vacuum I imagine it would have to be a crazy amount of velocity pressure to suck that off (thats what she said)

    Well I don't break the law by speeding :rolleyes:

    It's sturdy. I'm bouncing small tree branches off of mine doing 40-50 mph so you'll be just fine. We had Josh's laying on the ground and Joe ran over it with his truck and nothing happened. Safari.......FTW!!!!

    Never run your truck through a automatic car wash unless you want a damaged "A" pillar and fender.

    I wish I could find the pics from another forum where a guy did this. It was a very sad day for him.

    A small handful of select mods.
    I would have thought that would be common sense after this install. Not only for the possible damage as the machine rips it off but because of the amount of water that could easily get forced into the intake from the opening.

    Well we all learn some things the hard way. Me included. ;)
