so i'm makeing a light hoop for my bumper.....figured i need to get some more practice with the bender and this is all i could think of that used minimal tubeing (since i'm running low). i've been on the fence for a long time on whether or not i like the look of them, so if i don't like the look, it'll be up for grabs for real cheap.

well, you can only vary it so much lol. i'll have it follow the angle of the front face of the bumper (slightly tilted forward), and then contour the edges of the grill as much as i can. 1x.120 tube, so probably stronger than the bumper itsself

i won't be making them on a regular basis for the company though, because even though it's not a law, just out of respect, i'd rather not make something so similar to an existing product if i can avoid it.
if someone comes to me and asks for one though, i surely won't turn them away.

how about making the shape similar to Sandman's prerunner bar... I really don't understand why AP decided to make their bumpers in that fashion

what fashion are you reffering to? the little braces coming off of it?

if i like it i may do something along those lines or put hoops around the headlights like jason's CBI, but for starters it'll be the plain old light hoop so i can unbolt if if i don't like it.

i gotcha. the initial loop will be similar to the center section of his. hard to tell how the radius of the curve of mine is compared to the one they used though.

it'll probably be about the same as yours. they fit well with tube and hybrid bumpers. sometimes they can look out of place on a full plate bumper. i love how jason's looks though, so cbi figured something out in the looks department. maybe because the wings are so small, it blends nicely with the tube

True I think it looks good. I might put my stock bumper back on to change stuff up again but Idk about it i would have to buy some parts to put it back on. Also might be changin up my rims

damn man, i love that bumper on your truck. why the change?

i'd offer to buy the rims, but i've beat mine pretty bad wheeling, and i don't see things going any different in the future, so i'm probably just going to bedline them

angled forward or angled to the sides? his bumper is pretty straight up and down, so he can have the bar at any angle really, but since mine is angled forward, if i have the bar at any other angle it looks goofy.

i mean have the loop itself boxy like the one on Sandman's truck, but angle however you want it (I think the AP puts the lights infront of the bumper itself)
