If you aren't a crazy 4 wheeler (I have a 2 WD) how long should the shocks last? I got my truck w/~112 K on it and have been driving to Montana quite frequently and zipping around curves it seems to float and wallow through them at high speeds. It's not a sports car but I think my Ranger (4x4 off road) was much more stiff and solid in the corners. Is this just the nature of the beast or should I be looking to replace the shocks or something else?

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
It sounds like your shocks are toast. You shouldn't have that much body roll on stock shocks unless they are dead.

Yep, sounds like its time for new shocks. And there's nothing wrong with KYB's, I've had the monomax on mine for over a year now and like the way they ride, they are actually stiffer than the Bilstein HD's.

Why not just upgrade to bilstein 5100s? Seems like a great excuse. :)

I just finished installing the 5125's on the back and had to lift the dang frame up about 6-8" to get the bottom part of the shock on. I found that a 6 ton bottle jack between the frame and the leaf spring does the job;) I was hoping that it would bend the leaf spring back but no luck. Since they are basically flat or inverted I think that will be the next thing to upgrade. The 5100's are going on the front tomorrow - woohoo!

DO IT! You won't be sorry. I just upgraded from stock to a Wheelers 5-leaf pack, OME 881s, and Bilstein 5100s all the way around. It was well-worth the money!
