Or socialized big oil. We pay them to do research so they can rape us at the pump. It is a great system. Or socialized ethanol. Let's waste energy making ethanol so that we get crappier mileage and have to buy even more gas so we can be raped more frequently at the pump.

 

Ahhh, there we go. There's a bit of socialism in a lot of (strange) things that stretch out over a healthy length of time if we just look for it.

 

Maybe, maybe not. But the point I was trying to make is that they are still socialist ways of doing things because they are collectively owned by all. I'm not talking about the amount of socialism in the US laws relative to other countries.

I don't know if there is a country where the roads are 100% privately owned. (Except in maybe a couple of the tiny, tribal countries in Africa...) But that's not the point I was trying to make. I was simply saying that the idea of publicly owned anything is considered socialist. Agreed? Maybe I'm looking too much at the details and not the big picture...

I will say that the US is way more socialized than what's allowed in our Constitution.... but I digress from here.

That guy is an idiot. The information in that documentary was very biased. America and Cuba have very different standards when it comes to healthcare.
