    I'm running a 2nd Gen '06 Tacoma, let's keep this to 2nd gens specifically.

    I have read comments about using Bilstein 5100's on OME 886 coils, most of which have said that it will lead to failure such as the following. Although these look like "stock" Bilsteins not 5100s'.

    Can we get some educated factual answers on this topic?

    Screw the Bilsteins...If your running the OME 886 run the OME N140's...they won't fail.

    if everyone is generally saying it's a bad idea, why do you press the issue further? 5100s are lifting shocks. 886s are lifting coils, the OME shocks do not lift at all. if you want to get 886s and get 5100s set at 0, then fine..but that's stupid.

    i hear lighting yourself on fire hurts, but never tried...what are your guys' opinions?

    If you want to lift...and want to use the 886 mediums...stick with the N140S shock struts. I added OME along with the Fabtech 6" they work perfect...5100 Bilstiens I destroyed at Windham Rock.

    According to ARB, yes (see attached) but I have recently seen other PNs listed on vendor sites. I suppose there could be some remaining limited stock out on shelves.

    The ride is Great...Better than stock and I went with the stiffer coils to keep that tight steering...No body roll.

    I have every bit of 12" lift to include the 35's and the Skyjackers...

    Thanks Man...You should have seen my Quad 2nd gen...solid axle Rox Jox running on 37's...
