    The whistle had gone long before , and I would suggest that if Marchand hadn't stuck his ass out Daniel would have gone past him and behind the net .

    It's a stretch to say Marchand was worried about being " rubbed out " by Sedin ( not your words )

    It's even more of a stretch to say that Daniel was going to hit him long after the whistle .

    Partly... I'll say this, the clothelines was an ass clown move and wiping his hands going by the bench was more ass clownery but everything in between was self preservation. If Sedin wasn't trying to hit him he wouldn't have gone ass over tea kettle like he did. Just my view of what happened.
