I bought a solid 1967 M416 military trailer this winter to tow behind my Tacoma. I pulled the tub off the frame and sandblasted everything. Then everything got a coating of POR15 and then I sprayed everything with truck bed coating. Also rewired lights and switched them over to 12v. Im pretty happy with the finished product. Only thing I might still do is the spring over. :D

The day I got it home

    Thanks!!!:D

$500 for the trailer + the 100 miles each way to go get it. $50 for can of POR15. Not sure the cost for all the new Grade8 hardware and other odds and ends. Maybe $50-$75. I saved every receipt for everything I bought for it. (I do that with all my vehicles I build :)) I just havent calculated total cost yet. All the sandblasting was the most time consuming and shitty part of it. I would guess maybe around $700 total cost.

    Yeah. Just been lazy.

$500 and check out this info plate for dimensions.

How old are those tires? Going to upgrade those? Old trailer tires make me nervous if any weight is on them.

They aren't originals. They are a little dry looking in a few spots. They will be getting peplaced also when I find a deal on a set.

That came out great. I've been looking for a solid M416 for cheap. I found a Bantam Trailer that was beat to $hit but it's functional. Again very nice build and good job on all the work. :D

Looks great, these little trailers are awesome!

I just got mine back from being painted a mustard color to go with my FJ40. Now it is time to do the bearings and then the wiring.

I wish I had the original taillights for mine.

You should've painted it white to match your truck. of course leave the frame black and then paint those wheels black too. Great utility trailer for whatever.
