    I think aluminum is fine. It doesn't really take any load or abuse.

    Just take the little bracket off the end of the rod, trace the holes, find the center point between the holes, measure up the stock the same amount as your lift, then trace out two new holes centered on that.

    Lift = distance of centers between pairs of bolt holes.

    I lost track thousands of dollars ago.

    Yeah aluminum is fine but I wouldn't do less then 3/16th in aluminum. You got to remember he don't have a 2" lift it's more like 5" and extending that thing with anything less then 3/16th aluminum and it's going to sway back and fourth. 1/8th Steel is fine I'm just using 3/16th because i have a bunch of scrap.

    Yeah, I guess the longer it is, the stronger it should be. Mine is for only a 1.5 inch lift, and I just used what I had laying around too (1/8 alum) ! :D

    The hardest part on a small lift is the interference of the bolts with the existing hardware! I had to shim it out and flip over the little trapezoidal bracket at the end of the rod, and then add an extra .5 inch because that changed the height location of the rod connection point.

    Whoops. While you guys were discussing this, I went out and sawzawed some scrap steel I had lying around. :D and it's only 1/16" thick lol. :eek: Guess I was a little hasty..... I'll probably just leave it for now, and just replace it with some thicker stuff when it breaks. It was easy though, because the holes are all an inch apart.

    How's your drive line angle? Cant really tell from that picture but it looks like your still on your factory mounts.

    It's pretty bad... There isn't any noticable vibration yet, but I'm planning on getting a CB drop soon. (probably from Beefed Taco, but we'll see.)

    You may not get noticeable vibration, but you'll go through your carrier bearing and u-joints fast

    This is what i did untill i get the drop bracket.
