What is the best way to protect the plastic lenses on the headlights (keep the from hazing up)?

After washing mine I hit them with some invisible glass cleaner. Then I wax them with turtle wax ice. Or they make a film cover that goes over your headlights to protect them from rocks.

Just get mcguires headlight restoration, its like $20 and will last you forever and every once in a while you go out and buff your headlights and they look like they came outta the factory.

So you just put some carnauba wax for paint on the lenses? Does that decrease the headlights effectiveness?
