I agree with the Rocket. All of us sometimes just get weird & things but it will cycle around. If you value his friendship then be patient if not then end it. My 2c:)

I feel your pain, bro. I almost died in a car accident four months after being married. I couldn't walk, was out of work for several years, credit went to hell, marriage suffered, and, 9 surgeries later, knew who my real friends were. I have been happily married now for 18 years, and (with a few creaks and groans in the morning) I am physically active with no major complaints. Life gets better. As you give to others, it only gets better. As for your "friend", life will exact it's justice. I've been there, and I'm better for it. Best of luck.

yeah man ditch em'! i had a friend like this who hooked up with all my ex's and finally married one of my female friends that i had had a thing with as well and...same exact situation, with out the baby. her parents paid for everything and bought them a house. that girl became a police officer and he just works at amaricas tires and blows his paychecks on toys for himself. he moved away and calls me once n a while to "one up me" (seems like) with everything i have to tell him about my life. and to top it all off he came from a well off family so he has had it made his entire life. so i just stopped answering his calls one day and cut him off..it feels great to not deal with that anymore.

i guess my point is..its your life and it your job to make it what you want it to be so do not feel bad if you have to trim the fat to keep yourself sane and happy.

p.s this was a good read because i had such a similar experience. i know right where your comin from my dude! its not about what his friend has that he doesn't, its about the fact that his friend is so ungrateful and not humble with what he has been blessed with in life. there is nothing wrong with having a blessed life as long as you take it all humbly and give back to the generosity you have befitted from.

I don't get the responses that insinuate that the guy is lucky and has a good life. He's fat, ugly, smelly and married a woman that he first refused to go out with because she was fat/ugly/smelly. You think she's fat/ugly/smelly now, give her 10 years.

Cut him loose, but ^^ this is also true. I learned this after getting into an argument with my girlfriend. I asked her for a favor one day, and she said she couldn't help me. I felt that she was saying no cuz she didn't feel like being put out, and I went off on her.

Then I realized one day, after telling my brother I couldn't house-sit for him, how much he has done for me over the years, and how I just did the same shit I thought my girl had done to me.

Moral of the story, don't measure your relationships based on how many favors you've done for someone and how many they've returned, because if you do this, you will be frustrated by people like your friend, but you will innevitably realize that you are way behind on favors with someone else in your life.

And when you realize that that other person has never bitched about all they do for you, your gunna feel like a selfish asshole- i know i did!

I think I know what would happen to our friendship if I were in your shoes, that has to be the worst SOB of a friend, and the friendship would be over at that point.

I vote, slap him as hard as you can in the face like this were the 1700s and walk away from him forever.

You know the thing is, we all make choices and we give advice to our friends. What others do with that advice is up to them but our choice was to give.

As far as givers and takers go, they say it's better to give than receive and that's true. But as a giver, it's better to say no if you feel that you're being taken advantage of. Otherwise, it's your own damn fault.

Bradley, now that you know what you are going to do, be strong and stick to it.

I don't think that you are jealous, I think you are more hurt and feel disrespected than anything.

Just remember this: That those who work hard and do good will achieve and gain good. Those who are lazy have to work twice.

People around him will see his true colors (like you did) and he will eventually lose friendship and love as he continues to do so. A poor man can have a lot of money in his pocket and goods in his wagon but a rich man has true love in his heart and soul as well as loyal friends by his side.

I think part of the problem is... he, hell.. THEY haven't had to work for what they have, it sounds like an awful lot was given to them.

Once too much is given, people start to expect that all the time, not only objects and money, but favors as well.

I don't really see them changing until they have to start working for what they get. At least that is my 2 cents.

you need to stop being envious of the route that his life has taken... you are just jealous that he has a bigger and uglier girl than you... now do a double backward flip and disappear up your own ass
