    Ahhh. I work out of a station that's an hour from dispatch. Their center is also in a fairly busy city, of which we get called in to cover when they're low on crews. We'll be sitting there, staged wherever, and our datahead will start beeping. Dono if you guys have them, as everywhere is different but if you don't know, they're little computer type things that our 'ticket' comes in on. Address, age/gender CC and a response number. Anyway, it will beep and a ticket will come through saying "2 XL black, 1 Hot Chocolate, 2 Steeped Teas x2 sugar, dozen assorted donuts". Pretty funny.

    ANYWAY...

    lol no we don't have them. We get dispatched by radio and if they want something from town they will call us and ask us to call the 911 center. There's not a starbucks in our county so that is the most requested thing. haha

    The dataheads are actually pretty cool. Nice if there's an update when you're going to a chest pain call and they've now arrested. Comes up on it and your partner can tell ya. Also, if it's super busy and people are talking constantly on the radio it just comes through. We push buttons to say that we're en-route, arrived on scene, transporting, arrived at hospital, clear hospital/scene, staging etc. They're nice when they work... which is about 75% of the time.

    We're all about Tim Hortons up here. There's no Timmys in my area, so when we go to the city we swing by regardless of an order being placed or not.
