1.75 is pretty close to lvl

Next setting up and it will look a little "baja'd" out unless you do an AAL in the rear.

I have mine set to 1.75 and have had no adverse effects as far as wear and tear go.

He has a first gen. The 5100s only have three settings: 0, 1.25", 2.5".

I have a prerunnner as well and I used the bilstien 5100/eibach combo for 3" of lift and everything is fine...
True. But you still have to be careful with the balljoint angles... we can't go to crazy... :p

You only really need to worry about the ball joints if you have top plate spacers. That's because by lengthening the shock assembly itself, you are allowing the suspension to droop more than it was designed to.

That's not the case with stiffer springs or coil spacers, because they lift by decreasing your available down travel on you shocks, but do not increase the total downward travel.

First I ever heard about different settings for the 1st gens than the 2nd gens. I considered buying the 5100's and setting them at 1.75, I guess I would have been a little surprised to find out they only had 3 settings as opposed to 4.

Post pics when your done OP

Actualy I was wrong about the 1.25". The middle setting for the 1st gens is only 1". See the second pic from DSM's website.
