    Hello TW,
Before I ask my question please redirect me if this is the wrong place.

There is construction around my neighborhood and they are laying out tar to make a better road. I dont know how it happened but somehow I got some tar stuck on my truck. What can I use to get this off of my truck without damaging paint?

Thanks guys, all help is appreciated.

    neglect, mostly.
goo gone would be my first guess. but if it's on there real solid there's some other stuff i can't remember the name of. you can get it at auto parts stores, comes in a gallon metal can. we used it at work when some guys were painting some metal bins with rustoleum paint. wind came along and it got specks all over the employees cars. we were scared it would cost the company a fortune to repaint the 30 some cars it fucked up. this stuff though ate the paint right off but it won't go through the clear coat. i'll look for a jug of it and/or ask the boss today and get back with you. . .

the best is 3m adhesive remover. we use that at the toyota stealership i work at. i've used to to remove tar, sap, poo, candy etc. it is paint friendly and won't strip your paint. just spray it on and leave it for 5 mins and wash your car.
