:anonymous: I've never done it before, was just asking. I know a few people that have and I always thought it sounded mean. When I get a dog, I think I will just have someone who knows how to train dogs help me. I'm not good at that stuff. I'm used to having cats. :D

Correct. However, being as we are slightly more evolved, and have thumbs, you can use multiple words with Us. For example.....DONT say:

"you left the toilet seat up again, and I almost fell in and I was holding my purse and Im really pissed now and not gonna make any more sammiches.."

    because we hear:

"bla bla bla toilet seat up bla bla bla bla Im gonna make you a samich when the football game comes on, and you left your wrench at Jeffs house so dont forget to get that when you have beers with him tomarrow night, and dont bother calling 'cause I'll know where you are"

I like to try things like that out on myself first...to get an idea of what the dog is going to feel. Well.....I tried one, and I thought I was hit by a lightning bolt. Aside from grasping my neck, falling to the ground, and flipping like a fish out of water, I also looked kinda like an ass in the store, and some folks thought I was having a siezure.....

    OK!!!!

I walked up to Julie, as she was sitting on the couch, and looked at Gabby, and said "UP" and pointed to Julie. Gabs looked at Julie, then me, then Julie again, then me, THEN, walked to her bed and layed down. Julie said that was a "Good thing, as I might have had to hurt you"......

if you don't have a fenced yard, using a perimeter collar to keep poochie from wandering too far while you're not home isn't a bad thing. for training purposes I don't think shock collars are necessary.

I'm with Burg on this one, I can polish off a 750 mL bottle of vodka in 2 hours easy, but a mickey of whiskey would probably send me to the ER. Its not my usual poison of choice.

    Congrats Susan on the Puppeh!!!

No medic needed. Once the 14 million volts of lightning stopped, I recovered relativley quickly.

The perimeter collar was what I was referring to. But those have just as much voltage as the shock collars do don't they?
