the grabbers a good tires... i'm still happy with mine, but they are getting louder, which is no surprise due to the large tread blocks and i hope you dont mind taking a hit on your MPG's because the grabbers a heavy ass tires

not to mention they are expensive... just giving you guys a heads up

Matt, you had the BFGs and these Generals. How would you compare both?

street manners, BFG's are better: smoother ride, less road noise, long tread life, been around forever, lighter tire therfore less strees on susp components and better MPG's... but the BFG AT's suck ass on wet roads

the grabbers are still good, they do have better off road traction and handling, but pretty much everybody spends alot more time on the road than the dirt... so it's up to you if the price of the tires, decrease in road manners, and shittier MPG's are worth it...

i'm thinking about switching back to BFG AT's...

Yeah I'm getting the 285 BFGs on my 17" sport wheels for my next set. The Grabbers AT2 look good (almost same tread) but they don't make a 285/70/17 for my case. Sux to think about dropping a G on tires! What about the other mods to come! lol

Oh and I dropped my PSI last two times at Pismo, did roughly 15psi front and 10psi back.

First trip guy that filled my tires said my bead was coming out in the front (2 days of ridin), second time my front tire was leaking after refill (seems as though sand got in between tire and rim...little bubble leaks)...so I payed $15 at a local shop there to put some glue around the rim and remount.

yes GG are heavier but the BFG's are more expensive in my case, i dont mind loss in mpg or noise, all to be expected when i looked at these, but latley ive been doing a LOT of offroading, say maybe 30% offroad 70% on road...
twice on a work week and saturday/sunday. in my case and in my opinion i think the GG would be better for me, but maybe not for someone else... i drive on
    60% hard pack
    15% medium/soft dirt
    10% loose rock
    10%mud
    5%rock
    <1%sand

i know it doesnt add up too 100% its like 101%
    but just for an idea
