I say confront the girls without your boss present, explain calmly why you're upset, and politely tell them that you expect to be paid for the damages. If they throw a fit or refuse, go to your boss.

Or put it in their butts.

    jk :D

edit: I also dont see the dent from those pics, but honestly it doesnt matter. You know it's there and it is your truck so you have every right to be upset. I've been egged twice... and lets just say, the poor fuckers who did it the second time better be glad I didnt catch 'em like I did the first group ;)

Get a check from her for the repair estimate, live with the dent and buy other parts :)

If I were in your situation, I would insist on having the damage fixed.

Whether that results in suspensions or firing of the involved parties is really no concern of mine, and entirely their fault.

I would likely look into filing a criminal damage to property report.

Who cares if you can't see the dent, you know about it and that is the reason why they should fix it. You just don't mess with a man's truck, that is a nice truck and I am sure you take good care of it. I think you should get it repaired on their tab.. as for suspension and the possibility of getting fired, they should have thought of the consequences of their actions.

DING DING DING ! We have a winnna ! , my younger brother jumped up and sat on the roof resulting in a nice dent. The roof is a cheap peice of sh*t. He weighs all of like 10x lbs ( 16yrs old ) and it put a dent in it. I got so pissed off i rand up opened the door, punched the ceiling and "pop" its not even noticeable now, lol. Its so damn cheap and thin that punching the headliner hard enough will cause it to fix itself w/out even putting a mark on the interior. God I hope the pillars are strong enough because its for damn sure the roof will crumple like a chinese tin can in a roll-over

    None... sigh
All 3 should have to pay something. I would confront, try and catch the one that actually stepped on your roof in a lie first. They got enjoyment, so shouldn't you get some too? And I like the suspensions also, someone said they needed a reallity check, well that will do it.

You think that is bad? I have a crease on my roof from one side to the other because of some stupid children. I'm glad someone feels the same way that I do even though its not noticeable.

Seems like the dent can be easily fixed but I don't blame you for getting upset. More than anything it's disrespect for you and your truck. The girls should/need to justify it in some way with a true honest apology and an offer to have it repaired. But it could be too, that they didn't even know they dented it. Still the fact remains that disrespect played a role here.

I wouldn't want them fired, granted it's not work related but it did in fact happen on work property so they have to do something because later on down the line you can always say that nothing was done and you can go after the company. Not that you would do that, I'm just saying that is probably why the boss said that. It's a liability thing.

All it really comes down to is the looks of these girls. Are they good looking? If so, no problem. If not, that dent could become a major problem, better get that fixed right away, with their money.

EDIT: If they loose their jobs, how will they pay for the damage?

It looks like the dent is easily removable, I say get some money out of it and fix it yourself. No need for anyone to lose their job just because they're a dumb girl. I mean. . . where would the world be without dumb girls?

sounds like your manager is already taking care of it RE: wants to get them suspended or fired. if you don't want that to happen then you better talk with your manager 1st thing in the morning. unless he gave you options on what you wanted to do about this situation i suggest just playing it cool and letting things sort itself out. "It is what it is" at the end of the day your truck will get fixed. At my place of work last yr. a employee ( supervisor ) decided he was going to key another (supervisors) truck and in his rage forgot about the surveilance camera that was put up months before and was caught red handed, totally denied it until my boss said ok we are going to the tapes and only then he changed his story and sang like a bird. the truck was a less than 1 week old single cab tacoma. in the end he was fired and had to pay for damages and now its on his record, had to do community service.. He totally deserved it. in this case a harmless prank gone just a tad far, when i put my dent in my top last yr just resting my hand on it while polishing it i didn't notice it right away until a day or so later so it sounds like she didn't realize she put it there, people make mistakes but she should definetly pay for the damages.

Don't you dare let them get away with something like this "just because they look good". There's WAYYY too many girls getting away with shit worse than this by using their looks. It's horse shit.

As for the compensation. You should definitely talk to them about it, and mention that someone saw them (if they don't know about the cameras), and just see if they own up to it. If they do, and offer to pay for the repair, then great. Leave it at that. If they deny it, show them the video, and say the boss was the person that saw them.

Either way, you should be getting them to pay for it. If it comes to dangling their job security in front of them, so be it. Hopefully they're honest people, and it won't go that far.

Confront them, let them know that you know what they did and that you expect them to pay for fixing the dent. Go and get an estimate of the dent removal and have the one girl write you a check for that amount. If they give you any shit then go to your manager. I guarantee once they hear that they'll be real apologetic and pay for it no problem. Don't get them suspended unless you have to, everyone makes mistakes I just expect people to pay for them when they are made.

I agree with the general consensus here. They (she) pays for it and it is over with. Definitely don't get anyone fired. With that said, I would be pissed. Every scratch or even bird crap on my truck gets under my skin
