Thanks everyone! I haven't heard this week how he's doing yet, I'll have to call my mom and see.

And oldtacoma, yea...no room for issues. I have things that I may need, anti freeze, oil, tools, fan belt etc all ready to go in case I have to do a fix on the road. I'm not anticipating anything major, I just changed the oil yesterday (I was at 3500 miles, but the trip is 4000 so...), but it is the Alcan and it is wilderness. Once I hit the states, I'm not really worried about anything. Most everyone I know such as relatives will be within 250-500 miles at any given time.

I still have the Master suite, all bathrooms, den and kitchen. The play room, their kid's room, both guest rooms, living room, family room, lower hallway and both upper hallways, including the 30 foot tall stair well, are 90% done.

I have a shit ton of touch up after the new floors go in and the new base boards are installed....FML.

I know...it's a custom built one at least...but still. I was nice and told my best friend I'd do him a favor, by painting a few rooms in his new place. I didn't realize how bad of shape the interior was until we went over there for me to plan the job. This is a complete repaint....then he wanted 4 different colors through out the house...a complete custom paint job. I would have bid this at a MINIMUM $4000 plus cost of materials.

4200 square foot 6 bedroom 3 bath monster house..not happy.

You are being nice about it, I'll give ya that. Cuz you could just say, hey man...I painted a few rooms like I said, where's that plinker at? :p

But...that's not how honest people operate. You'll be done soon....and you can get back to real work, police work.
